about the practice

Seeking help can be a tricky spot for men. You may have been told that it signals weakness and is something to be hidden or ashamed about. I felt this way too at one point, but I quickly realized that being real and vulnerable about my challenges was the only way through.

I’ve seen this professionally, too—men who seek therapy are surprised by how helpful it is just to get their thoughts and feelings (some of which have been held as long as they can remember) out in the open to be witnessed, heard, and validated by others.

That’s why I’m working to create a practice specifically designed to support men in their mental health journey. It takes a ton of courage for anyone to seek therapy and process their life story, and men face unique barriers. By being real about my experience, being socialized in the same cultural dynamics myself, and truly enjoying the (sometimes grueling—not gonna lie) process of personal growth and development, I aim to create a space that feels approachable and compassionate.

I have worked with adults, families, and adolescents in both crisis and outpatient levels of care, and I take seriously the relationship that we share during our work together. I maintain a steadfast belief in your ability to navigate, manage, or even solve the challenges you are facing.
